My favorite sheriff of all time isn’t actually a sheriff at all. He’s a marshall, the federal equivalent of the local sheriff. Raylan Givens, Deputy U.S. Marshall, is the star of the television show Justified, and while he isn’t your traditional “western” sheriff, he wears a cowboy hat and is the quintessential bad good guy.
