An Old-Fashioned Fashion Show

Yesterday was the annual fashion show to raise money for Heritage Park in Terrace, BC. A group of women, young and old, took to the catwalk to show off historical fashions from the museum’s collection and from closets around town.

We were served tea in china cups and offered scones and fruit. Very yummy and lots of fun to see the various outfits. Several of my daughter’s friends took part and got to show off fashions from the 1920s through 1950s. This elegant young woman is wearing an evening gown and a fur stole, to bring our attention to the fact that Terrace has always been part of the fur trade. I had no idea that traplines still existed, but apparently they do.
